I love the lessons at the Spanish learning club – the teacher Cristina is very enthusiastic and makes the lessons fun!
Our group loves understanding the grammar so as well as going through the book and chatting in Spanish, she is endlessly patient explaining the differences do we can understand.
The monthly club activities are an excellent bonus as well as helping us improve our understanding.

I have recently started one of the beginners courses. I have always found learning languages difficult, but the Spanish Learning Club has made me feel that I can do it – at my own speed! The small class size makes the lessons fun and interesting. The teaching is patient and very effective. I recommend the Spanish Learning Club to anybody wanting to study Spanish.

I joined the class in September and was welcomed warmly by the teacher. Our class has gelled well and the learning is fun, helped by the practical exercises, the varied topics of conversation and by the warm support of the group members. I can see and hear how much we have each progressed over the past six months.

Quality teaching and fun, interesting lessons! I started classes with Johana at the Spanish Learning Club during lockdown and have enjoyed them so much I’ve carried on. All my classes have been online which to begin with I was unsure about but in fact the format works really well. My classes are a good mix of conversation and explanations of grammar points when needed and have really helped build my confidence with speaking. I highly recommend SLC for anyone either wanting to learn Spanish from scratch or to practice conversation. I look forward to my lesson each week and have come to see my teacher as a good friend. Muchas gracias!

My husband and I wanted to learn Spanish and, having tried with very little success a few years ago, were delighted to find the Spanish Learning Club very near to us. We really enjoy the lessons with Angela who is unfailingly encouraging and patient and makes every lesson fun. We look forward to the lessons each week and the hour is always over before we realise it. The monthly club activities mean we meet other learners in a relaxing and entertaining environment – and we learn some Spanish! We’ve only just started on our journey to learn Spanish but, with Angela’s help, are sure we’ll succeed this time.

Joining this club is one of my better decisions. The classes are well organised and groups composed of similar levels so you feel comfortable. If you wish to learn to speak and understand Spanish from the ground up-this is the one. In summary: the lessons are fun and the Spanish is serious.

I did two courses with Angela and made really good progress. I was a complete beginner and after her classes I gained enough vocabulary and confidence to open conversations in Spain in Spanish. Angela runs small classes where you get a lot of attention and although she has a clear agenda, she is flexible enough to allow conversations (in Spanish) to drift towards what the class members are interested in discussing. I also made some good friends who were also on the course and we still keep in touch a year later. If you want to learn some Spanish, meet people and have some great fun, I can thoroughly recommend Angela’s courses. Disfruta tu aprendizaje!

I love coming to class every week and enjoy practicing my Spanish with others. The teacher ensures that the lessons are fun and informative and at the right level for the students. I didn’t want an on line course and feel lucky to have found the Spanish Learning Club where interacting and learning together makes it easier and more fun. I also enjoy the monthly conversation get together with students from other classes, which is free if you are a student. If you’re thinking about learning Spanish I would highly recommend this class and teacher.

The best Spanish classes I have done! I look forward to my lesson every week, not just to find out what we are learning next but also to spend time with the group. Angela provides a great mix of work and fun but the most important part for me is the supportive and encouraging environment she creates that gives me confidence to believe I can learn Spanish.

If you want to learn Spanish then this is a great place to do it. Angela is an excellent teacher and the group dynamics she creates are spot on. Every week is enjoyable and intensive mixing formal learning and games (playing snakes and ladders whilst having to conjugate verbs was so much fun). They say learning a language is an important way of keeping the brain healthy and active. Join Angela and that is guaranteed.
